Painfully disorganised. Each time you call the customer service team they give conflicting information. Such a headache purchasing through them and when it comes down to the small print there isnt anything halal about their home purchase plans. Its just interest in another name.

We have transferred money to your bank and the recipient didn't receive it although 14 days have passed... Why are you holding the money back? We have investigated at our bank, and our bank said that the money is already in your dispose...
This is not aimed specifically at this branch, it is for Al Rayan bank as a whole.Just moved into my flat after an extremely stressful ordeal trying to arrange the purchase. To be fair, the initial stages they were very good and organised. It was only after the application stage when things started to get worse when their solicitors that act on their behalf, SHAKESPEARE MARTINEAU in Birmingham get involved, things start to go wrong. Also, when talking to the customer services team regarding my application, some of them stated things were done but later were found to not have done anything yet again delaying the application. It seemed as though there was no communication between the bank and their solicitors, which was extremely frustrating as it delayed my purchase. Their solicitors ask for documents I have already sent to AlRayan and vice versa, its like a unorganised mess.They both request information already sent and its like repeating the process more than twice! I had to call up several times and email hundreds of times to almost organise and delegate things myself. My first application for a flat actually failed miserably due to us missing the deadline for purchase due to their incompetence. My second application just about got through, and that was mainly due to my solicitors being on the ball throughout the whole process.If you have no alternative but to use this bank, be sure to have an experience solicitor and be very organised from the start as they will be likely to delay and cause confusion during the process.
