Peaceful refuge in busy public spot. But, though the modest but welcoming restaurant still runs, the little shop for interpretive material and religious literature and goods has long gone.
Located within the bustling Bullring shopping centre, the church is easy to miss or dismiss but inside it is a proud reminder of the Christian heritage of Britain. Its architecture has been absorbed into the modern shops around it but the stained glass and internal decor still command attention. The worship area or sanctuary is accommodating, well-lit and traditional. The church also includes function rooms with a caf. Hope to visit again.

I felt so serene here, although it is nearby the busy business district of Bullring and Grand Central. The church is huge, majestic and so unique in its architecture. There is a cafe here, where you can relax and have a cuppa coffee or tea, while enjoying the view. The view of Birmingham city, looking down from Saint Martin is so breathtaking. There is a staircase leading you down to the Bullring Rag market.
ST Martinis open on a daily basis the Church for prayer and silence when you may need it most There is usually someone you can speak to if you require it regarding spiritual feelings. ST Martin's also have a cafe where you can purchase tea, coffee, water and juicies. Food like sandwiches, cakes, biscuits or before a certain time jacket potatoes. Staff working in the cafe are pleasant, calming, hardworking and professional. The cafe is like the Church quiet and calming. There are toilets available and wheelchair accessible as well. ST Martin's is located by the Birmingham markets. There is a regular bus route nearby as well as the train Station at Grand Central and tram is also within walking distance in New Street. When next in Birmingham and in the Bull ring just turn to your right and walk towards the Church steeple and market. Go on try it.
