Hi, Just reading the past few reviews (negative ones) - i used to use this place quite regular before i moved away, ive always found the bar staff really good - as for the owner Liam - he has always been helpful with me and never heard any customers slagging him off! i haven't been here for the past 12 months but its not been for the want of trying....i just think if people are going to be so negative, id suggest stay away from the place - instead of singling people out! THIS SITE IS TO REVIEW THE CLUB - NOT AN INDIVIDUAL PERSON! - Keep the Good Work up Liam Boltz :)
It is really disheartening to read the personal comments made by two customers of Boltz Club - i have been using Boltz for a number of years and can say the comments made don't reflect the club at all - clearly the Gary and Nigel have a grudge! i think the "Northerner" helps the atmosphere in the club - as for the seating issue, its a sex club - what do you what, Lazy Boy Chairs!!! The staff work their assess of to make the club a safe environment for all those that use it - if you don't like it USE THE FOUNTAIN!!!!!
Enough is enough cheap drinks does not a club/Bar make ! This place has only 3 seats that are ready for a skip., and it's rank. Drinks limited and ill kept. Staff are a nightmare. Only regular bar staff is riffy picking scabs while pouring pints, working off his debt with owner. (Overheard him saying so in his totally annoying northern accent) also he's a tenant one of owner properties so cheap labour. Totally fed up with hearing from him what a brilliant bar manager he is. What a joke. Been using this place for years but over past 2 years gone down hill fast. Last year froze for most of winter as owner too tight to put heating on with a feeble excuse that they couldn't get a spare part for heating system. So why couldn't substitute heating have been found in interim while part sourced. Couple of years ago owner stated he was going to spend money doing place up, that never happened. Time it was either sold, closed or both. Not just bad TERRIBLE.
Amsterdam style all men social club experience. Needs a good clean, grubby and dirty is key here. Really gone downhill though. 3 filthy crumbling seats, nowhere else to sit, heating hardly ever on so place usually freezing. One hyperactive constantly talking, bar staff member who always seems to be on - must be cheap! Seems to have some kind of skin disease, untreated, which causes him to pick and scratch and peel strips of skin off continuously and just drop them anywhere and everywhere. Ugh! Met a friend there for a quick pint, had to leave it as the hyperactive, over verbose, picking, itching, scratching and peeling barman made us feel like throwing up - was in no mood to drink a beer laced with his skin flakes - revolting!
