This is a good shop. The staff know their business and answer your questions with alacrity. Ideal for gifts for those who appreciate quality. Nothing is cheap here, but if you want rubbish, go to Poundland.
Used to be beautiful. A real treat to visit. Due to the changes it's a little sad in there now. Limited stock. A real shame

This grand shop needs to be supported. I went in today and it didn't have many people inside Its so sad. I remember how popular this store use to be when growing up and If we don't support these stores they will be come extinct .
A bit sad, dated and tired looking. They could have filmed 'Are You Being Served' here back in the 1970s. A nice quiet cafe for a reasonably priced cup of tea, though. Looks as though it may be closing down after the chain was bought by Sports Direct. Shame to see a traditional department store close - but that's progress; and this store hasn't really moved out of the 1970s.
