Gregory Pank Hardware. Really sorry to see it close. End of an era.
I used to go to this shop as a toddler with my grandad. I bought my first screwdrivers here. It's a local treasure that you just know will always be there. You take it for granted.So now 40odd years later I'm very sad to say that it is closing it's doors for the final time. I'm not sentimental but Digbeth just won't be the same.
A glorious reminder of what so many hardwear and other kinds of shops were once like, 'proper shops' on the eyes of so many people, with the a human touch lack of which has contributed to the current decline in the national shopping experience
Even though I bought stuff for 1.2 the seller was very welcoming. They don't accept card payment so take your cash
I've been in a few times, most helpful. One of the best things is that you can buy things in singles rather than a pack of nine more than you need.
