We went Birmingham city library recently to get tickets for the rep theatre & were pleasantly surprised with the building, especially the top floor (9th)which houses the beautiful Shakespeares memorial room, with its all original wooden decor & stained glass roof, the ambience is well worth visiting
Well being a student the PC tables filthy ,dirty and sockets doesnt work ... food at canteen is pricey and staff at library desk are cooperative but less knowledgable and inexperienced...need to recruit IT guy in order to deal with printing or pc issues .... also washroom at ground level way too smelly ....not upto Mark in terms of cleanliness while tuition fee is too high which doesnt match the standard of university facilities
The library is fairly well equipped with whatever you need, break out areas, a cafe, private study rooms, computer, drinkable water, but fails to provide enough materials during essay handout periods, hence there being long liats of books not in stock but highly necessary. However, access is possible with university ID only.
