I always enjoy shopping at the Clean Kilo. It's nice to buy stuff without having to also buy a whole lot of single-use packaging. The fruit and veg are really good quality and there is a big choice of products. The breakfast tea and porage oats are my favourite things.
A zero waste food market. Its a relatively small shop and you'd need to know in advance what you needed and why to really be able to buy anything other than as random snacks. So pick up a vegetarian or vegan cookbook before visiting.Large selection of nuts, dried fruits, cereals, local honey, milk and milk substitutes and less damaging cleaning products. Glass jars and paper bags are available near the front door.Worth a visit if you're looking to mitigate your impact on the planet.
Excellent store! Friendly, helpful staff and a great selection of products. So nice to finally be able to buy all the things I need without contributing to plastic waste ^_^
Great concept. Staff on hand to help you navigate their system. Once you've got the hang of it is dead easy. Being your own containers and weigh them on the way in. Label them with their print out stickers. Fill your carton with whatever it is you want. Weigh it again and stick the price sticker on. Go to the tool and pay
I really appreciate having this waste reducing option in the city! You take your own containers (or buy them here if you like) and fill them from bulk bins. A good range of dry and fresh products, plus cleaning stuff like washing up liquid. A friendly place with helpful staff, vegan and gluten free options, and I for one find filling my containers very satisfying. :)
