It's always nice when museums are free/by donation. You could easily spend a few hours here. There are nice exhibits on the local area. There is a cafe and a gift shop. There's also two places with lockers to store belongings for a pound. The museum is open Saturday and Sunday until 5pm. Recommend a visit if you are in Birmingham.
Lovely place, recommend for a quick visit at least. Free entry, plenty of things to see. Especially the history of Birmingham which is marvellous. They organize different events inside too. The restaurant inside is good, food is very tasty. At first we taught we are going to spend only half an hour but it took us 2 hours to complete the entire museum.
I adore this museum, the range of art they have and the opportunity to interact with certain exhibits is amazing. The layout and presentation really encourage deep thought and just general appreciation of the art. 100% recommend a visit here, especially as it's free entry.
A great museum to visit, right in the heart of the city. Includes a lovely tearoom too. Free entry for all and includes a wide range of exhibitions, including a Roman Empire and archaeology exhibition, artworks that showcase the history of Birmingham. Currently displaying a collection focusing on Modern Women. Do not be put off by the building works nearby. Well worth a visit. Check out some of the pictures I have uploaded.
Old Victorian building, but the museum inside is really impressive! Huge, state of the art with modern facilities. There are souvenir shops, cafes and public restrooms as well. Free entrance and really worth visiting! You may probably spend about two to three hours here. It is within walkable distance from New Street station and Bullring
