Been a customer of Marlows for some years now but not anymore after today done a deal with somebody called sandeep yesterday for a ring for my daughters 18th birthday went to barclays and withdrew cash as that's all he kept asking about while sorting a discount went back to the shop to collect today for him to then tell me I couldn't have a receipt for the item unless I paid him an extra two hundred and fifty pounds more seems Marlows as changed hands and something seems very dodgy in that place these days very unproffesional arrogant and pushy can't see the shop keeping many existing customers if this is what being allowed by the new owners
I bought a beautiful diamond bracelet from Kay a few years ago. At the time we were very impressed with the quality of the piece, Kay's knowledge and very business-like and pleasant manner. Unfortunately, I managed to break it recently, and contacted Marlow's. Within a few days, the bracelet was returned to me in perfect condition. Throughout, emails were speedily answered. How refreshing to deal with such efficiency and kindness. I would highly recommend anyone to step inside this business. If there were six stars, I would have given that. Thank you Kay.
I did my homework before visiting Marlows for the first time today. I checked their reviews on Google and other sites, and chose Marlows on the strength of their reviews.What a good choice. We dealt with Marianne who was superb; knowledgable, helpful and by the time we left she had a queue of people waiting for her. After meeting her, we didnt need to go anywhere else and made a purchase. Massive thanks to Marianne and Marlows for an easy, stress-free transaction and immensely helpful advice. I cant recommend this dealer (diamond specialist) enough. Delighted.
The sales technique won't be to everyone's taste, however when trying to get the best purchase you should be open to banter and not easily offended. That's how business works, and that's how business men and women like it, provides entertainment for the day. The staff are informative and don't waste time qith negotiations, starting high and working low, which is good. They ask for your budget as that's how you market, no point showing you a 10k ring when your budget is 1k. Overall, the cost and quality of the diamond you get is really good, so even if you don't like the sales technique just grin and bear it, and take it with a pinch of salt as the diamonds are well worth it.
Kay was so helpful and knowledgeable. We didnt feel pressured to buy, but Kay found the perfect ring for us.
