Good live music that makes the food taste all the better in a well-decorated environment.
An excellent venue for dining out in a large group. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and unobtrusive. This menu would suit foodies who like Vietnamese, Malaysian and Thai-inspired rice and noodle dishes, and the selection is also very good for vegetarians.
Location was fairly convenient, about a half hour's walk from Birmingham Moore Station and 20 mins from Arena Birmingham where I attended an event. The rooms were quite lovely, surprisingly spacious for the very reasonable price and beautifully decorated. Private bathroom had a shower as well as full bathtub. Only complaint is towels were nowhere to be found, had to ask for one but it wasn't too much trouble. The included breakfast was quite good, with fresh fruit, yogurt, cold cuts and cheeses, a variety of pastries, toast, and cereal available, and hot coffee or tea brought out when you sit down. Overall a very pleasant stay!
What a quaint and quirky place :) I had a lovely stay here, staff are helpful and friendly, room was clean, bed was very comfy. The room was cold, but I was provided with an electric heater when I told the staff.The restaurant food is ok.Quality live jazz on Friday nights! There was a lovely gig while I was there, really enjoyed it.Tasty and generous continental breakfast is provided.
Quick lunch out... maybe too quick. Food was ok but great for the price of a lunch menu.. plates were taken away whilst still finishing my last bite. Was told I would receive my change when paying the bill. All I got was a couple of orange chocolates.. no service charge.. I almost tip every time for good service. But in this scenario I was baffled as to why my change never came back and felt weird asking for it. Quick 4 pound odd tip there. hence only 3 star.
