GREAT price if not a lot cash friendly people
Was advised by another charity to try CT Furniture for a donation collection as they were fully booked. Simple, straight forward booking by a friendly advisor. Was told collection would be between 10am-3pm. Waited inside all day only to be called at 2.30pm and told that the driver "was sick and had gone home". They apologised for the inconvenience and said they would call me back in an hour to check their diary and rearrange a time. They never did. Extremely disappointing. Avoid.
Huge range of used furniture, kitchenware etc. All at great prices. Very friendly and helpful staff too.Be great for bargain hunters and diyers.Good to know your money is going to a good cause too.They also offer delivery.
When I needed to get rid of a bed and mattress from my flat, this charity was recommended by Birmingham City Council. I organised the collection weeks in advance. They asked what parking was available and I told them. On the day, the driver turned up, drove around for 10 minutes and then left. He refused to do the collection on the basis that, in that short space of time, he hadn't found parking. His vehicle was larger than had ever been communicated, but he also wasn't prepared to wait very long at all. On the phone he was extremely abrupt- we agreed that I would go down to talk to him and see if we could work out a solution, but as I reached the pavement he was disappearing around the corner without even a phone call. As the charity had told me to dismantle the bed in advance, and I'd booked delivery of the replacement for the same day, I was left with a dismantled bed and mattress outside my apartment, no way of transporting them and no way of fitting them back in. The lady on the end of the phone hung up on me when I rang to complain. All in all, extremely poor. I'm all for giving to charity but I'll save myself the rudeness and extreme inconvenience next time.
