Facility-wise this gym is ok (not so great but it's ok). There is one Pakistani trainer (he said himself he is Pakistani) and he asked me 'what does katsu mean'. So I said, I guess it's fried meat or something and he said "you should know because you are Chinese". I explained him firstly I'm not Chinese and secondly katsu is Japanese word. But he ignored it and kept saying random words which were not even proper language (he tried to make fun of Asian words like ching chang chong) and told me you should know these Chinese words as well. I'm quite surprised how this man can be so racist and rude like that level. I did not want to make any trouble, so I told him gently what you said can offend Asian people so don't do it again. But he was like "Calling Chinese people Chinese what's wrong with that". I believe staff members do not have to please everyone but at least they shouldn't make gym members uncomfortable.
All the orange is a bit unnecessary. However, this gym is really close to my office and it is easy to hop on a tram just thirty seconds away on my way home
Good array of equipment and very convenient location and helpful staff
This gym is the best value for money gym in town. Very spacious. Can always get on the machines. Staff are amazing and so polite and friendly. Always on hand to help. It is clean and well kept. Absolutely fantastic. They do a variety of classes throughout the day which are superb. And hurt!! You never do a class and walk away thinking oh that was easy . Plenty of squat racks. Lots of weights and a good sized weights area. Mix of both men and women doing weights. And its not the sort of gym where you feel people are staring at you! People go in, do their workout, and leave.
Great amount of equipment in terms of bench press stations, squat racks, dumbbells, benches, cardio equipment. Great price and no joining fee.But during peak hours the equipment can be not enough. Otherwise it's absolutely great.There's also many different personal trainers available if that's what you need as well as plenty of classes.
