Absolutely gorgeous meal (8 course tasting menu with wine pairing) which managed to delight us, yet didn't leave us over-full (normally I shy away from anything over 5 courses for that reason. Perfectly balanced flavours and textures with impeccable service from Holly and the team and Brad is well on his way to earn a second star (although, selfishly I'd rather he didn't). Could expand on each course but they all balanced with eachother and were little mouthsful of perfection, one by one and not one that strung an out of tune chord.Well done Brad and team!

No other words ,just perfect. Probably the best tasting menu we have ever eaten.Wonderful staff, exceptional lunch in every way.

My partner took me to Carters as a surprise birthday treat. It seemed like a lovely place , everyone was extremely friendly and lovely however the food left a lot to be desired. Some of the courses were interesting but after having had a couple of extremely distasteful courses we were literally dreading what was to come next. It was a memorable evening but for all the wrong reasons. I think it was an experience Id rather forget.

Absolute perfect dining experience! Service impeccable, by far the best. The attention to detail really adds to the quality. The food was fresh, original and delicious. The vegetarian menu is also just as good. I would recommend everybody experience Carter's.

When a restaurant has a Michelin star, you know you'll have a great meal. Carters offers tasting menus at both lunch and dinner services, with or without wine pairing. It's a relaxed atmosphere with knowledgeable, friendly staff. Vegetarians are easily catered for: just let the restaurant know your requirements when booking. We both had six courses, one vegetarian, one not. The food is imaginative, humorous, and of course delicious. There's a good focus on interesting ingredients and/or provenance, but used artfully. Dessert courses, which can be less imaginative in fine dining restaurants, maintained the high quality set by the snacks and mains. There's also plenty of experimentation with fermentation, leading to bold, well-developed flavours. Highlights included a cereal made from toasted and sweetened nuts and seeds with chicken liver or mushroom pate, and a vegetarian grain porridge with new season truffles. Wines were biodynamic, and well matched to the dishes they were paired with. It made a refreshing change to be given a beer with one of the dessert courses, as well as a dessert wine that wasn't cloying.OK, it's not cheap. However, it's worth it if you love being challenged and surprised by food.
