The waiting time is always a good while over your appointment time however I appreciate all they do. It is after all a charity & a very good one at that.
They do a great job but are npt supported very well.should be a charge of at least 40 to many people take advantage
saved my dogs life very helpful. You get one pet on contribution and the rest you pay a percentage of the treatment. Easy wheel chair access and disabled toilets are available. You do have a longish wait as there are so many people there. They are very knowledgeable and keen to help. Some receptionists can be a bit offish. There late nights they have Vets now with them mainly at the big new hospital in Halesowen. Fantastic service 24 hrs a day and the PDSA. Had to rush my dog in at 4am with pyometra and they kept her in and looked after her she was gravely ill. They kept me up to date and operated on her and she's back home after 4 days in the hospital for and well now. she had a lot of check ups at Aston branch and they were so good and happy to see her recover I had to have my old dog put to sleep there with old age problems. They were so good they even wrapped her in my special blanket and let me out the back door so I didn't have to see people. Very caring people. Cleo didn't like needles and I was allied to hold her as she passed. One of the hardest choices to make.
Great place, great Vets. Front line staff can look a little weary at times. No real privacy when dealing with your details. I go with my elderly mom for her cat. Have to remember to take all your qualifying paperwork with you and this needs to be updated every 12 months. Bit long winded and difficult for my mom. Long waits as always busy. Have to book before visiting which can be difficult as the phone is quite often engaged when we call. Usually met by a long queue to check in. We take treats for the cat to keep him happy and calm plus there are a lot of dogs around trying to smell him . 1Toilet available, disabled friendly as is the access to the building.
PDSA do wonderful work,in caring for animals. Whenever I have been here,I've found all the staff to be very efficient and effective whilst being friendly and professional. As we all know that PDSA is a charity, it saddens me to see several people say they cannot make any contribution. (Even small amounts).
