I would of given 5 stars... but their fine process is ridiculous especially for a foreign traveller. By the time you receive it you have missed the early payment amount. In our case it was 30... instead it blew out to 90... Not only that but Europcar charged us 40 to forward the fine on. When I first noticed this fee on my card I contacted them to ask what the fine was for and to email me a copy so I could pay it... but they never replied and instead I had to wait for the paper copy to arrive so a 30 fine ended up costing me 130!!!! Thanks a lot. How about you email a copy to your customers in the future.

Normally I would have given Europcar 5 stars. Initially everything went smoothly, the process was fast. Towards the end, I was asked if I required Sat Nav for the car, so out of curiosity I asked how much it would cost. I was told that it normally costs, but since it was Christmas, I would get upgraded "free of charge" to a car which has a Sat Nav. (jokingly I was told that as part of the Christmas gift that I would have to stay with Europcar whenever I rent a car in the future) (FYI, the car didnt have a Sat Nav incorporated, you had to use your own phone, download an app, and project the map onto the onboard screen, which proved to much of a hassle to do anyway)I was presented with the paperwork to sign, and I noticed that the figures were different to what I had already paid online so I asked if I would be charged anything on top of what I had already paid and I was assured that no further charges would be incurred. After I returned the car, I was served with an invoice with Customer Choice charge of 4 days x 15 + 20% TAX, which they are adamant that I signed for and they refused to refund the 72 even after explaining to them the story above. Well Europcar...for the underwhelming sum of 72 you have just lost a customer for lifetime. Good job!
AVOID!!!!! FRAUDSTERS!!! I have just caught them fraudulently taking out 280 from my bank account without any reason, a month after borrowing a car through them via the Mercedes-Benz break down warranty service (Early November)I had to pick up a car from Birmingham Airport at 1am. Returned the car to my local Mercedes-Benz dealership after 2 days in which the dealership gave me the all clear as I gave it back in prestine condition. Awful customer service! They were unable to provide a reason for the transaction when I called them on the 15th December. This was after numerous phone calls to enquire. Raised a case with them... which takes 7 days to resolve. AFTER 2 WEEKS! I have had to call them again to see what's happening. They have just told me I was charged 280 without authorisation or an invoice for DAMAGING THE CAR! They are claiming I scraped the front bumber and rear bumber was MISSING!!! why would I steal a rear number of an SLK when o drive a 2016 C class coupe??? Surely this is FRAUD! They have now "escalated" my dispute for another 7 days. They couldn't answer why nobody could at the time INFORM me in earlier calls why this transaction took place. The woman on the phone said that her colleague must have been insufficiently trained!I have still had no letters or an invoice, pictures of this supposed damage. But my hard earnt cash is stuck with them!IT SCARES ME... HOW CAN A COMPANY TAKE MONEY FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY PERMOSSION? WHAT IF A HADNT CHECKED MY ACCOUNT? THEY DIDNT EVEN CALL ME THROUGHOUT. RUDE!!!!!AVOID!!!!!
Very helpful staff and open late. The lady who served me went the extra mile to make their rental system work for me rather than against me after I was let down by another car hire company at the last minute. She even let me choose the exact car I wanted.
